Antenna development fostered Andy’s love for solving interesting problems. He worked in multiple industries spanning from Utility Finding to Biomedical devices. During the past 10 years his skills have grown from RF design to embedded circuit design, data science, machine vision and machine learning. Whether hardware, firmware or software, Andy will apply creative solutions to complex problems!

Andy has enjoyed living and learning all across the country: from growing up in Oregon, undergrad in North Carolina, graduate school in Colorado, to finally landing in Charleston, South Carolina. Andy has always loved traveling and the outdoors. He could be found hiking and skiing in the Rockies to swimming and boating in the Atlantic.

Kevin Hammer is an electrical engineer and hardware developer who enjoys the business side of engineering. For over 10 years, Kevin has worked with small businesses and exciting startups to help bring new products to market. After graduating from Penn State with honors, he moved to Charleston, SC, where he has worked in industries including geo-radar, water heating, and pharmaceuticals.

Aside from engineering, Kevin has a passion for the outdoors. If he’s not out rock climbing or camping you’ll usually find him at his second home in Costa Rica with his family.

Technical Co-Founder
Mike earned his doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester in Western New York, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan. He helped manage a world-class microelectronics laboratory designing technology in collaboration with companies like Apple, Intel, and IBM. After leaving academia, Mike’s career traversed a variety of roles ranging from research engineer at a radar manufacturer to CTO of a successful water heating startup.

Outside of the lab, Mike is an aviation enthusiast and an instrument rated private pilot. He also plays ice hockey and enjoys adventuring outdoors, where he spends most of his free time with his wife and three daughters.
